joan snyder
Founder and managing partner of Frog Hollow Inc., Joan Snyder spent 25 years on Wall Street as a security analyst, commercial banker, and investment banker before moving to her farm in NY’s rural Hudson Valley. There, she combined her business expertise with a passion for environmentally responsible agriculture and artisanal food, establishing the first US integrated farm and commercial creamery for sheep’s milk dairy products in 1990. After selling the food company to a larger investment group, she founded Frog Hollow in 1998 to focus more intensively on financial intermediation in envirotech and agritech.
Having spent much of her life living abroad and working primarily in international finance, Joan focuses on Frog Hollow’s foreign clients, which range from multilateral agricultural consortiums, to small start-up ventures in Austral-Asia. Joan dedicates a large portion of her time to not-for-profit ventures in the environmental and human rights sectors, and has led many fundraising initiatives for entities in those areas.
